LTA C488 – Construction of At-grade Road System at Marina South

Project C488 comprised the construction of at-grade road system and installation of drainage system at Marina South. Temporary road diversions and new bus shelters were deployed to ensure continuity of traffic while locations of all utility services were ascertained before commencement of project.
Existing vehicle underpasses and connecting structures at Marina Station Road and Maxwell Road, as well as the reinforced concrete structures and other road structures at East Coast Parkway were demolished to make way for upgrading works. Temporary earth retaining structures were designed and constructed as part of the requirements for the demolition works.
A diverse range of services like widening, recambering, raising, milling down and overlaying of existing carriageways were carried out by Samwoh. In addition, semi-rigid and rigid pavements were laid at both road intersections and on accesses to adjoining developments.
To complete this road improvement project, approach slabs and structures, street furniture, services conduits, road markings, signages, vehicular impact guardrails, railings were installed as well.
